Once again we were up bright and breezy for a looong game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Sometimes the game drive Gods are just not with you and today was one of those days, so by midday we cut our losses and headed towards a nice picnic area on the edge of Lake Edward for lunch.

After lunch we took a boat trip on the Kazinga Channel which is a flow of water between the two lakes; Edward and George. This channel is abundant with elephants, crocs and they say the highest concentration of hippos in the whole of Africa.

Back at the lodge we had time to read a book, pack for leaving tomorrow, grab some nosh in the restaurant then hammer a few double G&T’s before hitting the sack.
